The Weapons & Field Training Battalion, Headquarters & Support Co is led by Captain Bethany S. Lapointe and 1st Sergeant Justin C. McCormick.
H&S Co consists of the following sections: S-1, S-3, Boats, Chaplain, and S-4.
The S-3 section is responsible for the daily command and control of all live fire ranges and the coordination and supervision of all WFTBN recruit training events in support of the Depot's mission of making Marines. The S-3 section is also responsible for the management of annual training requirements and Professional Military Education (PME) attendance for all Marines assigned to WFTBN.
The WFTBN Small Craft Section (Boats) is comprised of 10 Marines. The section is responsible for the daily security of the live fire range impact area which consists of the marshes, creeks, and rivers surrounding Parris Island.
The S-4 section is responsible for the management of all aspects of
budgeting, supply, equipment maintenance, facilities/grounds maintenance, quality control, ammunition support, and the target factory. |
