The Field Training Company is led by Captain Gavin S. Henry and 1st Sergeant Justin McCormick.

Field Training Company serves a pivotal role in transforming recruits into basic riflemen.  We are responsible for training the recruits in a wide range of infantry oriented skills. 

The company is comprised of 110 Marines broken up into two platoons, Field Firing Platoon and Field Training Platoon. Field Firing Platoon led by CWO2 Jeffrey Rushing and GySgt Ronald Kiah is responsible for training recruits in Table 2 marksmanship and Event 6 of the Crucible.  Field Training Platoon led by Capt Miguel Whyte and GySgt James Deberry is responsible for training recruits on the rappel tower, the gas chamber, Basic Warrior Training, Combat Hunter/ Guardian Angel, as well as conducting the Marine Corps Crucible.

The Marines of Field Training Company specialize in combat arms with the preponderance of them being infantrymen.  They are the duty experts on the depot charged with teaching recruits the basic skills necessary for success in combat.
