Time Management. The Drill Instructor School curriculum is very challenging and fast paced. Most students are overwhelmed by the amount of information they are required to absorb in one day. It is recommended that you prepare for a heavy academic work load and a demanding physical fitness schedule.
Uniforms/Gear. Per the MCBUL 10120, (add the following link when the MCBUL 10120 is clicked http://www.marcorsyscom.usmc.mil/sites/mcub/MCBul%2010120%20FY10.pdf : Marines are required to maintain their basic military issue, ensuring that they replace or upgrade accordingly. Prior to attending, it is recommended that you inventory all uniform items for proper fit and serviceability. (See Chapter 2, pages 2-1 to 2-6 in MCBUL 10120)
Combat Conditioning. As a Drill Instructor School student, you will be expected to have a high level of physical fitness upon your arrival. We do not have enough time in the training schedule to get Marines “up to par”. You will be expected to be able to negotiate the obstacle course, confidence course and various other required events in order to graduate.
