When applying for housing you can fax or email a copy of the housing package on the right. In addition send your detaching or web orders and your dependency application (from your SRB).
If you were previously married and have been awarded custody of your child (children) over six months out of a year, you must also supply custody papers in addition to your application. If you are requesting priority housing associated with the Exceptional Family Member Program, you must include supporting documents, when applying for housing, or you must contact the EFMP Coordinator to help you with the process prior to applying Exception Family Member Program.
(Use contact information on the right to submit applications.)
When your application has been received and housing is immediately available, your information will be referred to Atlantic Marine Corps Communities (AMCC) at Tri-Command and they will contact you to establish a check-in date. Waiting times vary depending on the time of year. Short-term rentals while awaiting on-base housing are not readily available. Leases in the local area are typically for a period of six months to one year.
If housing is unavailable your name will be placed on a wait list utilizing your date of detachment as your control date. If you are a local applicant, your control date is the day that you apply. In this case you will be contacted when housing is available by Atlantic Marine Corps Communities (AMCC) at Tri-Command. If you except housing before you check into your unit, you will be required to pay out-of-pocket rent equivalent to the BAH for your rank in the Beaufort SC area until Atlantic Marine Corps Communities (AMCC) at Tri-Command can receive your BAH. |
