| Acquisition Planning |
The mission of the Regional Contracting Office's is to provide our customers with the non-supply system goods and services required to accomplish your mission. To do this we ask that you plan these purchases to ensure that our office has the time to procure within the Federal, Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, and Marine Corps regulations.
|
| All requirements should be submitted to the RCO on a Purchase Request (PR) as soon as you have a Government estimate. For multi year and high dollar value requisitions the earlier you get the RCO involved in the planning cycle the better. There are many administrative steps and procedures that must be followed to ensure we write the best contract for the Government. Failure to plan is neither justification to procure from a sole source exclusively, nor justification of urgent and compelling need for loosening of other procurement regulations/timeframes. |
| End of fiscal year comes upon us before we know it and if we plan accordingly we can meet your needs without the need for last minute purchases. |
