---Important Notice--- DEPOT RESCHEDULES RECRUIT GRADUATION FOR MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT Parris Island, S.C. - Hurricane Hanna's forecasted track forced the Commanding General of Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island Brig. Gen. James B. Laster to reschedule the scheduled graduation for 2nd and 4th Battalions. Weather forecasts predict Hurricane Hanna will pass within close vicinity to MCRD Parris Island and will bring destructive weather to the region. For concerns of safety, commanders have rescheduled the graduation ceremony. Graduation for Marines will now begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4, in the Depot's All Weather Training Facility. Graduating Marines and families will be released immediately following graduation. Graduating Marines without plans to travel with families to their homes will remain on the Depot for possible evacuation from the region in accordance with evacuation plans.
